This project involved a structure with a rich history and numerous complex components. Originally built in 1803, the structure was destroyed during the Civil War in 1865 and rebuilt in 1870. For this project, the grand doors were fully refinished to a furniture grade state and all wood rot on the ornate column-style frames were repaired and finish painted. To match the 1870 aesthetic, the doors on the 1920 and 1959 additions were faux wood-grained to seamlessly resemble the 19th-century originals.
